I finished and printed off my essay. I basically worked on my title page, reviewed my essay and printed it with 20 mins to spare. So i just tried to make a cover slide for my PP.

Today I finished my essay but not completely. I still have the title page to get done but i couldn't do that because i want to put the pictures i took at Ephesus on it. I actually got it to fit within the word limit so i am happy about that.

Today I finished the point and evidence part of my essay and i started the analysis. I have about 1630 words right now and if I go above the limit (1700) i am going to re write my intro since its 300 words by it self. Im glad its not due tomoro cause im not even close to polishing my work .... well i am but i still want more time ....

Today I cut a lot of information on Religion. I could have fit everything into 100 words but I made it into just about 400. I had to throw away like 2 lessons worth of research. Now I just have the analysis to finish for every paragraph and I'm worried I might not make it fit into the remaining ...... 300 or so words.

Today I just continued my essay. I'm going to have to work very hard if i want to finish in the word limit since its due on WEDNESDAY!!!! I have to EDIT and REVISE and ACTUALLY FINISH MY ESSAY!!!!!!

Today I just continued my essay. I am still doing the art part of the art/architecture part which is just ONE of my characteristics. I think I'm going to have to put barely a paragraph into Social classes because I've got a lot about religion. I'm going to have a hard time making my essay stay inside the word limit. Right now that's my only worry. I think the quality of my research is satisfactory.

Today i just finished my plan. It's pretty short but I think it is decent. Tomorrow we are going to type up our essay and i feel pretty confident.

Now we are done with the research part and starting the essay. Today I started my plan. I got through to the second characteristic. , Social Classes. I am worried about the amount of information I have in Social Classes so i might do some at home.

Today I finalized my information. I'm not really sure I'll be able to fit my esssay into the word limit (i want it to be like about 2000 words) I didn't do much today except go over my cards. I think I'm ready to do my essay.

Today I worked, again, on religion. I worked on Religion in the Home. I got 2 index cards on information. Now that I've found the perfect site, I think I'll take my folder home and get some research done ..... we only have one day left and I'll have to use it wisely. I am still going to work on religion tomoro but at home i might work on social classes because I have like nothing on it.

I found out a website with loads of information about religion .... exactly what i wanted. I got loads of information, like 3 cards worth of information only on prayer and sacrifice. I'm going to keep on working on religion. I am going to only use this website since i only have 2 more days to get information.

Today I finished my bibliography (for now) .... I had a few websites that I wasn't sure of and I had to check them. Now when ever I try to look at a website, it gives me all of this 'stuff' that I can't understand and it's just way too complicated now. The information is not relevant for me and I just cant use it. All I did today was make my bibliography.

Today I worked only on Religion. I just got about one index card of information about prayers .... sacrifices ...... festivals ....... I am completely not productive now and i have got a lot of information and i think it is enough to write an essay. I dont think i can get any more productive than this. At the same time I don't think I'm ready because my information is so hard to handle. I think i am doing well and due to the amount of information (decent information) I don't think I'll do much these days.

Today I thought I would go on to religion but I couldn't be bothered to find a website ..... So i did social classes but there wasn't much information about that. So I went back to religion and found a website which has a huge amount of information about prayers, sacrifices, customs and ..................................................................................................................................... I'm running out of information. Before, i could find like 4 index cards back to back of information, now i spend half the time just looking for a decent website. I have surely slowed down my pace but i think it's due to the fact that i have a lot of information already.

Today I started with religion. I finished all the information that was on the website. But I have always found religion to be a hard characteristic to work on. The information is very sparse .... that's why I'm going to work on social classes next class and then lastly before the essay, I'm going to work on Religion. I have been using one website so far, and it has provided me with a lot of information. I do think i could get better and get more information but writing is just becoming boring ........ we do it in every class ....

Today I worked moderately. I worked on roman art using the same website. So far i have only been using this website (http://www.historyforkids.org/learn/romans). It has given me so much information about roman architecture and art. I think I'll work on religion next, again, this website has it all. The reason i chose religion was because I could barely find anything about it in the books, plus the books were so confusing. So far I'm happy with my project although if we could type our notes in instead of writing them, it wouldn't hurt....

Today I got some work done. I worked on roman architecture using the same webpage as last time. I didn't get much done today, I got distracted a lot and was more interested in turning off Felix's computer ...... -_-..... I need to be more productive if I want a good grade.

Today I didn't do anything because everyone wanted my help. I had to help Rami, Harris, Isaac, Ali and Yasmeen ...... then when I finally finished, someone took my pencil .......... It was a very bad day for me, even though I found the perfect website that had everything i needed. Tomorrow I'm gonna try and not help anyone and just focus on my work (I worked to architecture today).

Todaye I got a load of information. I worked on the question What was religion like? I got a whole lot of information again. My plan now is to finish religion tomoro and do art/architecture. Or I could finish religion very well tomoro and do art/architecture on the computer. I'm happy with everything, my pace, my amount of information, the books, everything except bibliography... I just remembered I have to do my bibliography.... that ruins everything ... so tomoro or ..... sunday ... I'll do the bibliography and then if i have time, finish religion.

Wow, i didn't know that Religion had that much information. I found an amazing book (forgot to do the bibliograhy) which gave me loads of information. I got one index card from one paragraph. I worked on the question "What was religion like."All I was doing was I was .... writing ... not really anything else .... so this journal is short ....

YESS!!!! Finaly I'm starting to act more like me again... I finally got the trick!!! .. Because I got the more general questions like "What were social classes like?", I got a ton load of information in like one lesson ... and now thanks to that simple question, I maxed out a book and finished Social Classes!!! ... just hope it's legal. .... So if i keep this up i will get through each characteristic in 1 lesson. I will have one lesson left for any other information i can find and then its off to the computers!!! where ill be able to really get some information. I have enough already to make a pretty decent powerpoint .... i bet that the pp would be VERY long and VERY boring ................................................................................................................................. ([[[[(maybe)]]]]). SO i hope i keep this up and ill see what fate has instore for me ...

Today I got absolutely no information. The books are starting to get very annoying, I can't find the right information to answer my questions, looking it up has just become a pain and the books are just too general to answer the questions. I'm now depending on the internet to answer my question (or at least provide me with the appropriate amount of information). I still have Social Classes to do. Religion is partly done while Art/Architecture is still lacking some areas.

Today was the worst day I've had so far and I'm really hoping it will stay like that. I wasn't even close to my expectations .... for two reasons. One i couldn't find the information that i needed. I want specific information that will hopefully answer my question but the books are just too gereral (they give info like : facts and the whole subject in summary). One good example for this was the social classes, i couldn't find any book that had the information to answer any of my questions except for one, and Rami was using that book so I had to share. The second reason was that i chatted too much. I think I really need to focus more and get down to writing .... P.S : I don't prefer writing ...... I'd rather type .... lol

Today I got a huge amount of information. I looked in a book called Ancient Rome. It gave me the exact information I needed for Religion. I still have a lot of questions left ... and I'm starting to question if I'm will finish this in time or if I do , will it be good? The books are starting to get a bit annoying now because I have to spend like half the lesson just trying to get the book I want ... and then when i get it the information is very limited ... either the book doesn't talk about my question a lot or it just doesn't have it and I have to move on. Either way, today I worked on the question "Is there any form of sacrifice or bloodletting, if so why and how?" and I found a lot about this question, but not anything else....

Process Journal : Entry #6 Date : 16/3/09

Today I didn't work to my maximum potential. I couldn't find any good book, that is until Felix cam along and gave me a book that had basically everything I needed for my project. Today I started off with Art/Architecture and ended up with Religion. I believe I have worked enough on Art/Architecture and I will now wait until we use the computers, I can;'t find any information that will correctly answer my question. So I moved onto Religion. I told you about the book that Felix gave me, it was perfect for everything. I worked on the question, who did they worship and how. I found a lot of information about this in the first book i was using, and I had been using it for some time, but now i had to share it with Rami. Then, Felix gave me a book that I think he had been using this whole time and it has everything from daily life to religion to art/architecture. I think I can increase my pace of working again and I think I need a better strategy with my notes because they are getting a little messy and I can understand them now, but would I be able to in like a month when I'll really need them?

Today I continued work with the book I had yesterday, Ancient Rome (I think). I worked on the question how were buildings made. This book had loads and loads of information. Probably too much, I couldn't summarize it all because I just couldn't find the important parts, all of the text was important. I just couldn't take it anymore and moved onto another book, i think the name was Rome something. This book had information but was also way more user friendly. The text was layed out well and it was easy to use, unlike the last book which was basically just information. I also made a new question, because all the information I found in the new book was about Roman cities.

Today i basically just continued with my Art/Achitecture section. I used the same book, Ancient Roman Art, that i had used for the past few days and it has given me a considerably huge amount of information. I used it for about 3 quarters of the period. I later found out that i had used up all the information in the book and had to switch. After some time I found a book that had exactly the information I wanted. I can't remember the name of the book but I can tell you that it had a lot of information in it, along with some real pictures to support the text. I didn't get a lot of information from the book because we ran out of time but I will make sure that I get that book the next time we have class, that book will keep me busy for some time.

Today i am still using the same book. Wow .... a lot of info in one page ... I have now moved on from art as in pottery to buildings. I am still doing Art/Architecture and have gotten one index card packed full of information ... I think im gonna have a hard time reading that info too ....

Today i used the exact same book to answer my fourth question. This book has a lot of information and I really like using it. I think I have picked up my pace and am working much faster than before.

Today we started our research. I got three books but only got through one page of one book, Ancient Rome Art. One tiny paragraph got a whole index card of info ... im now really getting the feel of how much info we'll be getting throughout this project. But i also think i can work more efficiently so i'll try to improve that for next class.

Introduction

For my research project i decided to research on Ancient Rome.
My 3 characteristics are :
